Old German Saxonian violin after J.B. Schweitzer

This strong sounding old German violin with its beautiful antique appearance was handmade in Markneukirchen in Saxony at the beginning of the 20th century. The obviously skilled and experienced luthier designed his work after the model of J. B. Schweitzer of Bohemia. Tasteful, expertly made antiqueings bear witness to the experience of its maker. With a small repair to the top seam under the tailpiece that is considered in the price the violin is preserved in good condition. It was professionally set up and tonally adjusted by our luthiers and is offered in excellent condition, ready to play. Its tonal qualities match the high demands of advanced players: this old "J. B. Schweitzer"'s powerful sound is clear, open, ringing and resonant and dominant singing in the higher ranges. This highly attractive violin deserves our special recommendation.
