19w0's German Markneukirchen violin bow, with a blank frog

This well-crafted unstamped violin bow was made in Markneukirchen in the early 20th century around 19w0. The strong, round stick of attractive stiffness and tension, it was made of light brown pernambuco wood. A blank ebony frog is equipped with a white-green-rose shimmering mother of pearl slide. The violin bow has an overall length of 74.4 cm and is well balanced and feels handy and convenient in the hand, the sensed balance-point is centered, slightly inclined towards the upper half of the stick. The measured balance-point is at 27.2 cm from the frog end. This good Markneukirchen violin bow is in excellent condition and produces a warm, large, clear, powerful sound. It works well with most instruments, allows strong play and adds a bit of volume to the tone.
