From the inventory of the well-known luthier and purveyor to the court, Dr. h.c. Eugen Gärtner (1864-1944), Stuttgart, comes this Markneukirchen violin which was built in 1926. Eugen Gärtner was a highly respected luthier and „Kunstgeigenbauer“ who also kept an inventory of carefully selected old and new string instruments for trade. This particularly nicely made violin was made of excellent tonewoods and has a strong, warm and powerful sound, which is typical for instruments made in the tradition of Grancino. We offer this good violin in perfect condition, with some interesting traces of use on its premium quality golden orange varnish, underlining the antique appearance of the instrument.
