Old German violin, c.1900, with a warm, large sound

The resonating chamber of this old German violin from Saxony, a Stradivari inspired model with with medium archings, is forming a beautiful warm sound, that is large, somewhat mellow and strong, resonant and clear in the upper ranges. This lovely violin is a good example for the excellent quality of Saxonian craftsmanship in the beginning of the 20th century: tonewoods of best quality, as are typical for the region, rounded, slightly accentuated edges and a beautifully transparent light-brown varnish over a yellow ground clearly reveal the violin´s provenance. We offer the professionally reworked instrument without any damage or repair very good condition, worked over by our violin makers and offered ready to play.
