3/4 - fine French 3/4 violin from Mirecourt, approx. 1880

This fine and especially beautiful, antique appearing 19th century French 3/4 violinMirecourt, following patterns of the great Stradivari, as it is indicated by the model label. Finest tonewoods - medium grained spruce for the top and amazingly flamed maple for the back - were used to create a responsive instrument featuring a strong, mature sound, full of character and clarity. The small, elegant scroll is well-crafted, with a very individual shape, and the highly transparent, shining golden-orange varnish that shows many traces from playing has charming patina. Many traces from playing underlines the antique appearance of this beautiful violin and allows us to offer this exceptional 3/4 violin at a lowered price. Technically, this 19th century French violin is in perfect condition; it was completely worked over by our luthier and is ready to play.
