Old, Brilliant toned Markneukirchen violin, 1900's

This beautiful Markneukirchen violin was built around 1900 as a copy of Stradivarius and is the skillfully crafted work of an unknown Saxoninan workshop, a piece of high handmade quality and experienced craftsmanship. The fine appearance of the instrument is determined by the shining golden-yellow-brown varnish with tasteful antiqueings. Very appealing aesthetical effects are produced by the play of colors of the varnish over the flames of the mildly flamed two-piece maple back. The individual style of the instrument is evident in the fine purfling and delicate edgework, which are precisely crafted, with much attention to the detail. Without any repairs, this powerful violin is in very well preserved condition and was carefully worked over by our luthiers, who made it ready to play. Now this attractive violin unfolds its clear and brilliant voice again, which is mature, strong and rich in overtones.
