Elegant old Markneukirchen violin, 1940's, oil varnished

This elegant, oil varnished German violin is an exceptionally beautiful Markneukirchen instrument, was built by hand around 1940 in Saxony from carefully selected premium quality tonewoods. The one-piece back and ribs cut from the slab are deeply flamed, with a texture of precious and strong and wild character that is emphasized by the rich light-brown oil varnish. Minor traces of use introduce an indeed very good sounding instrument that was well taken care of. This recommendable and high quality old Markneukirchen violin is in very good and crackfree condition, and like all old stringed instruments from Corilon violins, it was completely worked over and set up by our luthiers and is immediately ready to play. Its dark, mature voice is clear and rich in overtones, with some sweetness in the upper ranges.
