Excellent sounding old Markneukirchen violin, approx. 1940

This old German violin from Markneukirchen/Saxony was made around 1940 by an experienced violin maker who adhered to the excellent craftsman traditions of Markneukirchen. The top is of medium to fine grained spruce and the two-piece back of finely flamed maple – very good and visually appealing tone woods, and their selection and craftsmanship indicate great expertise in the field. The quality of the luminously radiant golden brown varnish is noteworthy. This old German Stradivari model is undamaged in perfectly maintained condition. Its exceptionally good, bright and clear sound combines precision, brilliance and resonance full of overtones and strength.
