SALE: German violin bow, Markneukirchen, warm, gentle sound

This old German violin bow for sale, a medium player producing a warm, gentle tone, was crafted approx. 1930 in Markneukirchen in Saxony. Fine quality light brown pernambuco wood provides good stability and surprisingly high elasticity of the round stick. The balance-point is slightly inclined towards the upper half of the stick and measured at 26.2 cm, the total length is 73.9 cm including the adjuster. The large head with its extended nose and the delicate Perl selected for the frog feature the nice character of the bow that is equipped with a German silver mounted ebony frog. Last but not least the tonal properties of this fluidly playing bow are convincing: with its warm and somewhat mellow sound this bow would well complement a bright, brilliant toned violin.
