SALE: German violin bow, Markneukirchen, warm, gentle sound

This old German violin bow for sale, a soft/medium player producing a warm, gentle tone, was crafted approx. 1930 in Markneukirchen in Saxony. Fine quality red brown pernambuco wood provides good stability and surprisingly high elasticity of the octagonal stick. The balance-point is slightly inclined towards the upper half of the stick and measured at 25.3 cm, the total length is 74.3 cm including the adjuster. The petite head and slight signs from playing feature the nice character of the bow that is equipped with a nickel mounted ebony frog. Last but not least the tonal properties of this fluidly playing bow are convincing: with its warm and somewhat mellow sound this bow would well complement a bright, brilliant toned violin and suits a player who does not use too much pressure at bowing.
