Old French violin bow, J.T.L. "Sarasate maitre" model

This recommendable French violin bow stamped "Sarasate maitre" (Sarasate master), a perfectly preserved piece, was made approx. 1950 in the renowned a href='/shop/en/info/jerome-thibouville-lamy-jtl.html'>J.T.L. ateliers in Mirecourt. Its medium strong, round stick was crafted from light-brown pernambuco wood and features a very well distributed diameter, elasticity that allows a fluid play and a nicely carved head. The ebony frog is nickel mounted and has a golden yellow shimmering mother-of-pearl slide. This JTL Sarasate maitre bow´s balance-point is sensed well centered, slightly inclined towards the upper half of the stick, and measured at 26.8 cm at a total length of 74.4 cm. An excellent French violin bow that has all desired playing qualities and produces a strong, large, warm sound that is full of character. As all instruments and bows in the Corilon catalogue, it is offered in perfect condition, with new hair, leather and winding, ready to play.
