Old, 1940's Saxon violin, Markneukirchen, warm tones
This luminous red-orange German Markneukirchen violin was built approx. 1940 by an unknown workshop in Markneukirchen. It was crafted as a beautiful copy of Antonio Stradivari. Italian style determines the solid appearance of the model, that is matched by the nice, elegant upright scroll. Top and back were carefully crafted, with subtle flutings. With only a short, minor repair under the chinrest and after a professional, high quality reconditioning by our luthiers, this quality 1940's Markneukirchen violin is perfectly ready to play, with a mature, warm voice rich in overtones.
