Exceptional violin from Saxony, Ole Bull model

This violin is the successful work of an unknown violin maker from Saxony, who built the instrument approx. 1900 and labeled it after Ole Bull, a great 19th century violin maestro. Bull had a strong influence on violin making, even beyond his time; he left his traces in the work of the great Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume, and up to today talented violin makers copy the fine instruments from his collection. The violin we are offering here does not seem to have an identifiable historical pattern, nevertheless it is rightly called "Ole Bull" due to its considerably antique appearance, the excellent craftsmanship and finest sound qualities. The arching of top and back and the purfling are a consummate work of art. Shining golden varnish bears classy patina and was applied on premium tonewoods; the finely flamed maple of the two-piece back is especially worth to be mentioned. Our experienced luthier extensively worked over this recommendable violin, that unfolds its warm and dark sound precisely, with sophisticated, delicate character.
