This old German violin is a quality instrument that was handcrafted approx. 1940 for the renowned company Meinel & Herold in Klingenthal, Saxony, that was founded in 1893. It is one of the last instruments of Meinel & Herold, before they were forced to unite with the nationally-owned enterprise (VEB) "Klingenthaler Harmonikawerke" of the German Democratic Republic after the war. The violin was made after a proven Stradivari model, with a spirit varnish that features a yellow red-brown color with charming red notes and determines the nice appearance of the instrument. We offer it with many traces of use but undamaged and technically in good condition. Like all instruments from Corilon violins, it was completely worked over in our workshop and is in good playing condition. We recommend it as a good educational instrument due to its bright, warm and clear sound, that is comfortably open.
