A very beautiful French small adult violin, also known as a lady's violin or more precisely a 7/8 violin. This rare 7/8 violin was handmade in Mirecourt in the 1870s. It has a powerful sound and the woods are well selected - the top is made of medium grained spruce, the one-piece back of unflamed maple. The orange-brown varnish shows only a few traces of use. This lovely antique 7/8 violin is offered at a special price with two small repairs to the top: Checked by our luthier, fitted with a new bridge, soundpost and strings and adjusted. The well-balanced, powerful and warm sound is mature and radiant.
