The striking aesthetic of this viola is shaped by the woods and the great care with which the clean lines of the sound holes were carved and their interplay with the transparent and luminous red varnish against a golden-yellow background. Light, retouched traces of use are visible here on this well-treated and well-loved instrument which has a warm, bright and perfectly balanced sound that will win you over. The undamaged viola was carefully worked over and is offered in ready to play condition.
