Antique Czech master violin. A fine copy of Johann Georg Thir, c.1900

This very attractive old Czech master violin features a matured and clear sound and an attractive visual appearance, that is determined by the antique character of its dark and highly patinated orange-brown varnish. It was built and is labeled as a copy of Johann Georg Thir of Vienna around 1900 by an unknown Czech violin maker. The resonant, mature voice of this violin demonstrates its preferable sound properties, clear and well-balanced throughout. The scroll which isg grafted has a certain character, and the flamed maple of the one-piece back indicate the good craftsmanship of this good quality old Czech violin, that was completely worked over by our experienced luthiers, who made it ready to play.
