Antique Bohemian Czech violin, approx. 1880

This very attractive old Czech violin features a matured, large and clear sound and an attractive visual appearance, that is determined by the antique character of its dark and highly patinated red-brown varnish. It was built late in the 19th century around 1880 by an unknown Czech violin maker. The resonant, mature voice of this violin demonstrates its preferable sound properties, clear and well-balanced throughout. Some acceptable repairs allow us to offer this good Czech violin at a very attractive reduced price. The scroll has a certain character, and the flamed maple of the two-piece back indicate the good craftsmanship of this good quality old Czech violin, that was completely worked over by our experienced luthiers, who made it ready to play.
