SALE Older English violin, made in the 1940's - warm, golden tone

This old violin was built approx. 1940 by an unknown English violin maker and is a very successfully crafted, nice instrument that features a fine antique appearance. The heavily worn, golden brown colored oil varnish underlines the strong flaming of the two-piece maple back tastefully; it was richly applied and developed interesting craquele, wear and patina that determines the character of this violin. The purfling was inlaid with utmost care and extends well into the corners; it is the clear work of an experienced hand just as the beautiful carving of the scroll and the pegbox. The instrument was worked over completely by our experienced luthiers and is offered - set up with a Hamberger carbon soundpost - in crackfree condition, ready to express its bright and warm sound with recommendable precision.
