Old Hamburg violin by Frank Reiner

An old violin by Frank Reiner. The violin was made in Hamburg in 1939 yet is still perfect, near mint condition. The label is the original numbered and dated Frank Reiner Hamburgensis label. The model is the Orchestra model. The top is made of medium grained spruce, the one piece back of flamed maple. The beautiful inlaid purfling is set closer to the edge. The varnish is a rich and glossy oil-based varnish of a warm orange brown color. The violin is perfectly preserved, undamaged and crackfree. It is set up with a new bridge, soundpost and strings and is in full playing condition. The warm sound is charming, bright and open.
