A very good German Stainer violin in a remarkable state of preservation. The antique violin was made around 1940 in Saxony on the elegant model of Stainer. The instrument is preserved in near mint condition. The top is made of medium grained spruce, the one piece back of deeply flamed maple. The beautiful shiny varnish is of a deep red-orange color with almost no signs of use. This old violin is in perfect, completely crackfree and undamaged condition. It is set up with a new luthier-made bridge, soundpost and Pirastro strings and is in full playing condition. The strong powerful sound is clear, bright and open with a warm character. An excellent instrument suitable for good snd very good orchestra players.
