This attractive antique German violin by Louis Noebe is an extraordinary beautiful copy of Stradivari that is a handcrafted masterpiece made in Bad Homburg in 1881, featuring a recommendably warm sound and excellent playing qualities: a well balanced tone, an immediate response, a sound of warmth, roundness, with a mellow character and some sweetness in the upper registers. The unique optical appearance of this antique violin is no less attractive: the well shaped body is made of premium quality tonewoods and is thoroughly crafted. The medium grained spruce top and the deeply flamed maple back are covered by a transparent and luminous red-brown varnish. The violin shows expressive traces of use that are fitting for a well-played instrument of its quality and age. The general condition of the instrument is excellent, this originally labeled Louis Noebe violin is crackfree and like all violins in our catalogue it has been worked over by our luthiers, it is now ready to play.
