Italian Milanese violin by Romolo Lava

This modern Italian violin by Romolo Lava is an instrument for soloists. Crafted in the late 1970s in Milan, it still features the original label by Romolo Lava. Its brilliant sound is resonant, rich in overtones and clear, filling the room and making nuanced interpretations possible even in larger concert halls. Its visual aesthetic is almost equally expressive, thanks to its top-quality tone woods which indicate the sensibilities of an experienced craftsman. It has a luminously bright golden-yellow varnish and broad purfling that show the high standards of quality and style with which the violin was made. The very evenly grained spruce of the top and the one-piece maple back with its close and slightly diagonal flaming convey a fluid harmony. The pegbox and the petite and delicate scroll reflect an individuality and artistry which re-interpret the Milanese tradition of violin making. Our luthier has carefully set up this Romolo Lava violin, which we offer in perfect condition, ready to play and perfect for performances.
