This elegant French violin is an instrument with unmistakeable, nonstandard character and a pleasantly quiet, bright, clear sound - which is warm and not too loud. It bears the orignal, 1948 dated and numbered label of Albert Marissal in Lille. Its glossy, golden-brown varnish decorates the deeply flamed maple of the two-piece back and scroll. The small, deeply cut scroll and pegbox are crafted with very individual style and determine the appearance of this elegant French violin, that is with a table repair at the saddle offered at a reduced price. The luthiers in our atelier worked over the instrument completely and made it ready to play. It features a good response andfeatures a bright, clear, sound rich in overtones with a somewhat warm and mellow note, a sound which is not too loud and suitable for single and home players.
