This pretty, bright orange-brown varnished French 3/4 violin with a warm, mellow sound was made in Mirecourt around 1900. It bears a Henry Arnaud label, but it probably comes from the Laberte workshops. The glossy varnish is of a very beautiful, sunny bright orange-brown color over a yellow ground with a large scratch on the top and many traces of use. The 3/4 violin is crackfree and ready to play. The luthiers at Corilon violins have carefully worked over the violin and made it ready to play. The balanced, beautiful sound of this small 3/4 violin is very different from the clear, brilliant sounds of new factory instruments and is highly recommended: Warm, bright and with a soft character.
