Stringed instruments from the Markneukirchen workshops of Schuster & Co., founded in 1884, are well-known for their good sound, quality tonewoods and flawless craftsmanship – just as this 3/4 violin, that was built after Stradivari patterns, a typical instrument by Schuster & Co., even if it is without any label. Golden-brown varnish with nice antique touches was carefully applied and harmonises perfectly with the distinctive grain of the top that was made of medium grained spruce, and with the finely flamed sycamore maple of the two-piece back. The extraordinarily well preserved instrument is undamaged and crack-free. Our experienced luthier applied a new bridge, soundpost and tailpiece; with new Pirastro strings the violin unfolds its very convincing, warm and open sound, that is powerful and rich in volume.
