Video Surveillance Privacy Notice

Further information on data collection by Corilon violins e.K. in accordance with Art. 12, 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) for open video surveillance in our public business premises.

We hereby inform you about the processing of your personal data by us and the claims and rights to which you are entitled under the data protection regulations.

 

1. Who is responsible for data processing and whom can I contact?

2. purposes for which the personal data are to be processed and legal basis

We process personal data for the exercise of domiciliary rights and the right to property, the detection of unauthorized access, for the purpose of prevention and investigation of criminal offences, the preservation of evidence / proof of criminal offences, as well as for the assertion of claims under civil law. They also serve to protect employees, customers and other visitors.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO.

 

3. what sources and data do we use?

We store data in our business premises in the recording area of the openly mounted cameras, among other things, the image of the persons who enter our premises. In addition, in our business premises where valuables are stored, we also use the cameras installed there to record the image of the persons staying there, including other identification features such as clothing and belongings carried.

 

4. references to our legitimate interests, if the processing is based on Art. 6 (1) f) DSGVO.

We process the above personal data in the overriding interest to protect and defend against criminal offences, such as robbery, assault, theft, arson, damage to property, trespassing, as well as to protect our property, our employees, our customers and our visitors, and to secure our building and inventory. In addition, we process the data in order to clarify the take-away and borrowing processes in cases of doubt.

 

5. who gets my data?

We process the above personal data and, if necessary, transmit them to public authorities such as the police if the subject of the recording is a criminal offense. Otherwise, any other transfer to public bodies will only take place upon request and within the scope of the legal powers of the requesting public body. A publication does not take place.

 

6 How long will my data be stored?

The video surveillance recordings are automatically and immediately deleted after 10 days if they are no longer necessary to achieve the purposes or if interests of the person concerned that require protection conflict with further storage.

 

7. Is data transferred to a third country or to an international organization?

Data is not transferred to third countries (countries outside the European Economic Area - EEA).

 

8. what data protection rights do i have?

Every data subject has the right to information under Article 15 of the GDPR, the right to rectification under Article 16 of the GDPR, the right to erasure under Article 17 of the GDPR, the right to restriction of processing under Article 18 of the GDPR (objection) and the right to data portability under Article 20 of the GDPR. With regard to the right to information and the right to erasure, the restrictions pursuant to Sections 34 and 35 BDSG apply. In addition, there is a right of appeal to a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 DSGVO in conjunction with § 19 BDSG).
