This fine, c.1800 Markneukirchen violin from Saxony has a sound of outstanding beauty and is an excellent instrument for demanding musicians. The violin was built on a Carlo Ferdinando Landolfi model in the 1800's and it bears a corresponding model label - this fine violin survived two world wars in Germany. Meaningful patina and traces of use indicate its long history - and is a perfectly crackfree preserved example for the violin making tradition in Saxony, where many fine stringed instruments with convincing aesthetic and musical qualities were built. The skilled maker crafted the top of fine grained spruce and chose beautiful flamed maple for the one piece back. The highly transparent, shining golden-brown colored varnish is an exceptionally successful work. Precise and experienced craftsmanship is demonstrated by the small scroll, which is a leter c.1900 piece of work, and the fine double purfling, that was crafted with utmost care. Our luthiers spent time and effort to work over this fine antique violin, that is crackfree and like all Corilon instruments and bows offered in premium condition, ready to play and to unfold its warm, mature, nmellow sound, a clear voice that combimes mellowness and sweetness and is rich in overtones.

Includes Corilon's trade-in option and an optional certificate of appraisal.
