A violin's suonabilita — its “sound ability” — means far more to Luca Mario Gallo than merely having a powerful voice or a strong set of overtones. This maestro liutaio of the international violin-making school of Cremona, where he has his own workshop , sees each of his instruments as an individual creation, an entity which uses the properties of its materials to help a musician attain the ultimate possible forms of musical expression. Like his other works, this Luca Mario Gallo violin  from the 1980s is marked by its gentle but precise and well-defined voice, an excellent example of the musical latitude which Luca Mario Gallo's suonabilita provides. The rich yet extremely transparent, golden-brown oil-based varnish shows minor signs of wear which only reiterate the personality of this Luca Mario Gallo violin. A typical Cremona violin with a large and graceful scroll, it is sold in perfect condition.
