A well worn antique German handmade violin originating from the traditional violin making center Markneukirchen in Saxony. The instrument was made on the elegant model of Nicola Amati. The patinated dark red-brown varnish and the obvious handwork determine the special characterof this bright and warm sounding instrument. Obviously, the violin has very much been loved and played, the varnish is well worn with signs from playing. The violin has been set up and meticulously worked over and is now in best playing condition. The hardwood fingerboard that is original to the violin is tonally beneficial, it has been planed and brought to best working condition. The sound is warm and beautiful, with some soft, sweet and mellow notes to it.
