Interesting early Mittenwald master violin, a highly interesting instrument for professional musicians, that was crafted around 1810 and shows influences of the Josef Klotz school. The beautiful, golden-yellow varnish is patinated but still transparent and bears meaningful traces of use at the top and the ribs. These signs from playing underline that this master violin was a pleasure to play for its former owners, just as a small and skillfully executed repair to the rib that has no impact on the violin's sound properties. The violin is otherwise crackfree and was completely worked over by our experienced expert restorer and is offered ready to express its large and warm sound, warm, nuanced, radiant and somewhat sweet in the upper ranges.
