This German violin has a sound of outstanding quality in the price range - a handmade instrument of affordable made in thge region of Markneukirchen in Saxony in the 1950'ies. The top is made of medium grained spruce, the two piece back of deeply flamed maple. The varnish is of a golden-brown color over a lighter ground. With only minor traces from playing the violin has been well kept and is preserved completely undamaged, crackfree and in perfect playing condition. We have worked it over completely and set it up so that it is now ready to play. The bright warm sound is clear, bright, open and a bit mellow with beautiful resonance. Special...
