In approximately 1940 an unknown violin maker from Saxony built this superior quality old Markneukirchen violin, an oil varnished instrument with expert antiqueings of outstanding beauty that is recommendable both for its for its good playing and sound qualities. It was crafted after Amati patterns and feautures a mildly flamed one piece back; the transparent yet luminous golden-light-brown spirit-oil varnish with attractive antiqueings clearly indicates the provenance of the violin, that is preserved crack-free. Like all of our offers, this beautiful instruments was meticulously worked over and approved by our luthiers who applied completely new setup. Being in perfect and immediate playing condition, the flawless violin unfolds its very beautiful, mature and clear sound, that is rich in overtones, warm, appealing, resonant and sweet and, in the lower ranges, warm and slightly dark.
