This especially beautiful antique Markneukirchen violin with a strong sound features a warm, mature tone and solid workmanship. The violin was handmade around 1920 in Markneukirchen-Saxony most likely by Schuster & Co., it bears no label. The antiqued varnish bears some traces of use, a beautiful dark-orange-brown color over a yellow ground, with some patination and signs from playing. The sound sound is bright, clear in character, resonant and well-balanced over the strings yet with good clarity and brilliance in the upper ranges.
