H. R. Pfretzschner cello bow, Markneukirchen (attributed) - horn frog

A fine H.R. Pfretzschner cello bow from the estate of a cello teacher. This rare Markneukirchen cello bow with a horn frog was like made by H.R. Pfretzschner in the mid 20th century and is a special occasion. The fine and strong octagonal stick is made of premium quality light-brown pernambuco wood. The stick features excellent strength, high tension and activity and immediate response and is warmly recommended. This H.R. Pfretzschner cello bow is perfectly balanced and has its sensed balance point in the middle, slightly inclined towards the lower half of the stick and measured at 25.8 cm from the frog end. Without any damage or repairs, this fine Pfretzschner cello bow produces a warm, strong round threedimensional mature tone of very good power and clarity suitable for professionals and demanding musicians.
