30 days returns policy
Take your time: our returns and refund policy
Try and return for 30 days after delivery
When you want to buy an instrument online, we are a partner you can rely upon. Our extended 30-day trial & return period gives you plenty of time to test and evaluate your purchase at Corilon violins thoroughly. If you feel that you are not completely satisfied with your violin, viola, cello, or bow please return it for a refund. In the case of a return please inform us within 30 days of receipt of your instrument that you will be returning your purchase and ship it back within this period.
We expect any returned instruments to reach us within 45 days from the date of delivery to you unaltered and in proper condition - cleaned of grease and rosin dust - in the same condition as you received them from us. Otherwise we reserve the right to refuse a return.
What are the requirements?
Due to differing technical standards, a return will not be possible if you have third party violin makers carry out work on the bridge, soundpost or other work on the instrument during the return period - even if in your eyes it is "only minor work". In such cases we will have to charge the complete reconditioning costs to bring the instrument back to our house standard. It is better to contact us immediately if you wish to have service work done on the instrument.
100% refund of the purchase price
Corilon violins does not charge any restocking fee. We will inform you via email when we have received your shipment; incoming packages are processed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. We will refund 100% of the purchase price after having received the returned instrument within 45 days of receipt in undamaged, unmodified condition. You will be reimbursed via the method you chose for your payment. Credit card transaction fees are third party fees which are unfortunately non-refundable.

Instructions on returning an instrument to Corilon violins
In returning the instrument, please pack it carefully — preferably just as we sent it to you — and send it from the same name and address that we originally shipped the order to our address with a copy of the original invoice via your carrier of choice. It is not necessary to ship via DHL, UPS or FedEx express mail - normal postal airmail services are available at reasonable cost. If you do not use the original packaging, please see our detailed information on packing and shipping a violin. We cannot accept postage-due or COD shipments because of the high additional cost. If you are returning an instrument from outside EU, customs clearance delays will occur due to return customs procedures. Once we have received the returned instrument, we will send you written confirmation and will process your refund based on the method of payment within 14 days.
