This old cello bow, silver mounted and well-played, was handcrafted in the 1980s in the long-established Roderich Paesold workshops, that were founded in 1848. The round stick is made of pernambuco wood and bears the well-known "Mathias Thoma**" stamp over the frog, a nice and strong piece with both excellent elasticity and balance. The silver mounted ebony frog is decorated with a Parisian eye and a green-rose-white shimmering mother of pearl slide. The total length of the cello bow is 71.9 cm, total weight 82.9 g, with a balance point that is sensed very central, offering best playing qualities. This old quality Paesold cello bow is in perfect undamaged condition. The cello bow shows signs from playing and is offered ready to play and produces a clear and strong, warm, rounded yet precise sound.
