This fine cello from the renowned ateliers of Neuner & Hornsteiner in Mittenwald is a beautiful instrument which perfect suits elevated musical standards. It is the product of the finest craftsmanship and was made in approximately 1850 and the excellent quality of both its aesthetic and its tonal properties cannot be overlooked. The interplay of the orange-brown varnish against a background of golden-yellow creates a charming accent to the gentle flames of the maple used on the back and ribs. This fine Neuner & Hornsteiner cello's advanced age is also apparent at a glance, as is often the case with premium historic instruments: its appearance is shaped by its lovely patina, and there are clear traces of use that imply that the cello's former owners played it very intensely. At our specialist atelier for restoration, we repaired some minor areas with the greatest precision - this cello is preserved in exceptional condition. We recommend this fine cello to good musicians for its warm, lyrical voice.
