A beautiful handmade quality instrument is this Saxon 3/4 violin marked "conservatory violin". It was probably made around 1920 in the well known Schuster & Co. workshops in Markneukirchen. The good playability has opened up a rich musical biography for the 3/4 violin, as witnessed by light playing marks on the shiny oil varnish. Medium grained spruce and heavily flamed maple were fashioned after a slender Stradivari model, with small, elegant soundholes and accurate purfling. After a complete overhaul by our luthier, we offer this product of the best Saxon craftsmanship tradition in good, ready-to-play condition.
