This beautiful old Mittenwald 3/4 violi was probably made for J. A. Baader. The 3/4 violin was made in Mittenwald in the 1920s and is a very typical instrument of the J.A. Baader production. Old Mittenwald 3/4 violins like this one are relatively rare to find and sought after for their mature, strong quality sound. The top is made of medium grained spruce, the two piece back of mildly flamed Mittenwald sycamore maple. The beautiful large scroll is crafted in typical Mittenwald style. The varnish is of a warm orange-brown color applied on a lighter ground. This recommendable Mittenwald 3/4 violin is crackfree and offered ready to play after a meticulous workover by our our luthiers. The sound is carrying and of good strength, clear and mature, with ringing resonance. Like all violins and bows in our catalogue, this includes Corilon's trade-in guarantee for the upcoming upgrade to the 4/4 violin and an optional certificate of value.
