French violin from the 19th century

A lovely, resonant French violin from the 1850s, this high-quality instrument was handcrafted in Mirecourt around 1850  and is a highly distinctive masterpiece. It is a very good and extremely carefully made string instrument that follows a personal interpretation of the model by Santo Serafin, with typical arch, delicate corners and finely rounded edges. The dark light-brown varnish with beautiful patina is a testament to intensive playing and gives the large violin its special, noble character. With visible restoration on the top, finished with a tuning lining, this exceptionally resonant violin is offered at a reduced price. Its sound is clear, mature, large and warm, rich and sweet in character, very well balanced across the registers and the four strings, ringing and rich in overtones in the upper ranges. Like all our string instruments and bows, it comes with free shipping, a 30-day money-back guarantee and an unlimited trade-in guarantee.
