This viola da gamba bow with a strong stick was made approx. 1930 of red-brown pernambuco wood, with an octagonal stick that bears the original stamp of Arnold Dolmetsch (1858-1940) above the frog. The viola da gamba bow was made by the founder of the well-known Dolmetsch workshops in Haslemere, Surrey. This especially strong viol bow is preserved in perfect condition, ready to play, and fatures a beautiful horn frog, in excellent condition. The viola da gamba bow produces a warm, large sound, and has its balance-point centered, measured at 27.0 cm including the adjuster at a total length of 75.6 cm.
