An instrument for musicians with professional requirements is this remarkably beautiful Italian viola, which was handcrafted by Felice Vitozzi in Rome, Italy. The length of back is 42.1 cm. Tonewoods of the best quality were used and varnished with a highly transparent oil varnish of a luminous golden-orange color. This Italian viola features a small elegant neck that allows convenient playing and a mighty scroll that is unmistakably Italian in its style. The distinguished two piece back is made of narrow flamed maple. This rare Felice Vitozzi viola is offered ready to play with some restoration that does not at all affect the sound or playing qualities of this interesting soloist instrument. It bears the original label inside. The bright, clear sound which is carrying and strong in overtones has a warm and gentle aspect in its lower registers.
