German violin bow made approx. in 1940 in Markneukirchen following the patterns of the famous master Tourte. This lightweight violin bow has a total weight of 56 g which makes it very convenient to play, with a balance point centered slightly shiged towards the lower half of the stick. The round stick is made of fine quality pernambuco wood and features a s+┬┤medium to soft strength and forgiving elasticity. The characteristically shaped ebony frog is nickel mounted with a white mother-of-pearl slide. This German Tourte model violin bow produces a mellow, bright sound taht works with brilliant and sharp sounding violins and is forgiving at play.
