This lightweight German violin bow is perfectly suited for Mozart interpretations with its responsiveness and resilience. The nickel mounted violin bow comes from the collection of a member of the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn and accordingly has very good playing characteristics. It was made around 1930 in Markneukirchen after Bausch in good craftsmanship. The round stick is made of very beautiful, red-lacquered pernambuco wood. The stick is of medium strength, plays very responsively and has a medium center of gravity that leans slightly toward the lower half. The ebony frog has nickel-silver mounted with a mother-of-pearl eye and a slide of shimmering green-gold-rose mother-of-pearl. The violin bow is perfectly suited for virtuoso, fast playing and, like all Corilon string instruments and violin bows, has been reworked and is offered ready to play.
