French violin bow of quality with a Vuillaume slide and nickel-mounted ebony frog made around 1930 in the bow workshop of the renowned J.T.L. bow section. This affordable French violin bow presents itself in very good condition. JTL employed many of the best bow makers of his time, such as Jean-Joseph Martin, Louis Gillet, Pierre Auguste Barbé, Charles Husson, Jean Joseph Maline und Nicolas Thomassin. Its round stick was made from top quality pernambuco wood, with a highly successful distribution of thickness, tension and elasticity and a finely and beautifully crafted head. With a total length of 74.6 cm, the balance point of the ready-to-play bow is perfectly centered in the lower half, so that the violin bow is balanced in the hand over the entire bow stick. The adjusting screw is a later addition.
