Beautiful old violin bow with forgiving playing properties. It is a German violin bow that was made by Wilhelm Herwig in Markneukirchen in the second half of the 20th century on a Morizot model; its bright, warm and focusses sound gives it excellent qualities that make it well suited to practicing. Its octagonal stick of red-brown pernambuco is of beautiful reactivity and good strength. The ebony frog in the Morizot style is nickel mounted with a Parisian eye and a one part nickel adjuster. Its balance point is at 26.6 cm, the violin bow is well balanced, having its perceived balance well centered. This fluidly playing violin bow with a warm, precise tone is an universal player, it measures 74.5 cm in length and is in convenient weight.
