This fine German violin bow hails from the atelier of the famous bowmaker H. R. Pfretzschner in Markneukirchen. It was crafted around 1900, and the characteristic shape of the head is a clear indication of its master's work. The strong octagonal stick is made of very dark pernambucco, giving it outstanding elasticity. It has beautiful features of excellent quality with its genuine silver-mounted ebony frog, mother-of-pearl eye and the whitish-green luminescent notes of its slide. At a length of 73.7 cm and a balance point measured at 26.6 cm including the button, this bow in perfectly maintained condition has a strong, clear and warm sound. The balance point has a centred feel to it and lies well in your hand.
