A very nice old French 7/8 violin. The violin was made as a good copy of Stradivarius around 1930. The origin is Mirecourt. Beautiful woods were used. The top wood is medium grained spruce, the two piece back is flamed maple. The soft and rich oil-based varnish is of a warm orange-brown color with few playing marks. The violin is undamaged and perfectly preserved except for some varnish retouching (mainly bridge region). The sound is particularly loud, carrying and powerful. This 7/8 violin is sold with our special recommendation.
