Antique 1/2 violin by Colin-Duchene from the 19th century, this petite 1/2 violin has a bodylength of around 30 cm and is a traditional handcrafted instrument from Nancy, built around 1880, a powerful sounding model with an original brand stamp. Its richness of sound is extraordinary! This 1/2 violin sounds strong, warm, powerful and very multi-faceted. In the upper ranges, it is bright, clear, open and singing. Mature, full of character and noble in the lower ranges, just as clear, strong and powerful. A fine 1/2 master violin for soloists that responds easily and gives great pleasure to the expert. Its construction is – typically French – very elegant with a particularly beautiful edge work and inlay: its appealing warm color is created by a darkened orange-brown varnish.
