"Maggini violin" with ornate purfling made in the 1880s in Schonbach / Bohemia. This beautiful Czech violin that features a superior sound in the price range also has a highly appealing visual aesthetic. Well chosen regional tonewoods determine its appearance of the violin: premium medium grained spruce that was used for the top, and maple with broad and wide flaming for the one-piece back. Antique light-brown varnish over a golden-yellow ground with expertly made antiqueings covers the violin with medium arch, that features a delicate scroll and well-cut soundholes made in the style of Maggini. When played, this affordable antique violin reveals its exceptionally good sound and powerful voice, with a bright, warm and open, mature character, with a somewhat sweet note. We highly recommend this "Maggini violin", that is offered with some repairs in good playable condition, ready to play.

Like all our violins and bows, this includes our trade-in guarantee and an optional certificate of appraisal.
